As we continue to develop our data lake, we have appointed Dominik as a Senior Data Engineer. WELCOME Dominik! So that you get to know Dominik a bit better, we have asked him a few questions:
Tell us something interesting about you.
My list of top 10 songs of all time include songs from: ABBA, Eminem and Queen. People tell me its an interesting combination.
Why did you pick MNB?
I just went through my first experience of buying a property which highlighted all the problems with the current process. MyNestBox focuses on solving, or rather disrupting, much of that process which seemed super interesting to me.
On top of that I prefer to work in a startup especially one with such strong focus on data. Startup and data, I was already hooked. But then meeting the whole team just completely reassured me that this is the right next step.
What three words describes MNB for you?

What are your three areas of accountability?
- Building, improving, and maintaining the data infrastructure.
- Constantly Looking for new opportunities in data.
- Keeping an eye on the medium/long view data strategy.
What’s your favourite part of the job so far?
Working with a group of very intelligent, kind, and passionate people.
What is the next big thing for you within MyNestBox?
Bringing the data pipelines to full automation with no, or very little, human intervention.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying for a job at MNB?
Don’t look at it as a job but as a wonderful opportunity to be a part of a great team of people who will support and challenge you while you are working on interesting and relatable problems.
